About me
With Over 32 years of experience in the mental health field, I offer a knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient-centered approach to psychiatric care. My journey began as a mental health technician and later as a therapist—roles that provided a strong foundation for understanding the individuals behind the symptoms. In 2006, I became a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, expanding my ability to support individuals across a wide range of mental health needs.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of individuals and communities. My background includes Active Duty service in both the U.S. Army and Air Force, roles within the Federal Government and the Veterans Administration, as well as providing care in nursing homes and private practice. These experiences have shaped my understanding of how mental health challenges affect people from all walks of life and at every stage of life.
I specialize in treating complex conditions such as PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other challenging mental health concerns—particularly among veterans and individuals who may have been dismissed or overlooked.
One of the guiding principles of my practice is this: every person is worthy of respectful, evidence-based care—and no one is beyond hope.
Whether you’re seeking help for the first time or continuing your journey toward healing, I’m here to walk alongside you with understanding, expertise, and a deep commitment to your well-being.
